India-Kazakhstan Investment Forum

FICCI organized the  “India-Kazakhstan Investment Forum” in association with Embassy of Kazakhstan  and Kazakh Invest on 14th November 2018 at New Delhi.
        
 The Inaugural Session was  chaired by Mr. Sandip Somany, President Elect, FICCI and Vice Chairman &  Managing Director of HSIL Limited and Mr. Saparbek Tuyakbayev, Chairman of the  Board of Kazakh Invest. Other panelists on the dais include Mr. Bidyut Behari Swain,  Additional Secretary, Department of Commerce, Government of India; Mr. Manish  Prabhat, Joint Secretary (Eurasia), Ministry of External Affairs, Government of  India and H. E. Mr. Bulat Sarsenbayev, Ambassador of Kazakhstan in India. The  session was moderated by Mr. Ravi Chaudhry, founder Chairperson of CeNext  Consulting & Investment Pvt Ltd.

During the Inaugural Session,  both sides talked about making roadmap for future cooperation and outlined  several specific tasks for improving the interaction between the business  circles of the two countries: reduction in non-tariff barrier of traded  commodities, cooperation in defence, tourism, renewable energy, pharmaceuticals  and agriculture sectors. The Inaugural Session was followed by Business Session  that focused on investment opportunities in Kazakhstan  and highlighted the opportunities available for Indian companies in Kazakhstan.
