The Flag unfurling ceremony
The Flag unfurling ceremony on the occasion of the 74th Republic Day of India was held today at 1000 hours at the Swami Vivekananda Cultural Center, Astana. The Ambassador Smt. Shubhdarshini Tripathi unfurled the national flag, which was followed by recital of the National Anthem. Ambassador read out the President’s Address to the Nation.

The Ambassador also launched the Embassy's photo book, "Varshik Darpan," which documents all of the events of 2022.
A similar function was conducted at the Representative office of India in Almaty as well.
Republic Day Reception
The Embassy of India hosted a reception on the occasion of the 74th Republic Day of India. Over 300 people, including Heads of Diplomatic Missions and International Organizations accredited to Kazakhstan, senior Government officials, journalists, representatives of academic and cultural institutions, and members of the Indian community attended the reception.
H.E. Mr Kanat Tumysh, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Ambassador and the Chief Guest delivered their speeches on various aspects of growing India-Kazakhstan bilateral relations.
Our cultural show, "Samanvay" (Harmony), presented by the Swami Vivekananda Cultural Center of the Embassy, captivated and enthralled the audience. It demonstrated the harmonious merging of many classical, folk, and contemporary Indian dance forms.
The guests enjoyed delicious Indian food.
